The School of Villandrando, or Asylum school of San Joaquín and Santa Eduvigis, has a beautiful neogothic façade. The school was sponsored by the viscountess of Villandrando. Therefore, the school was named after her. At the beginning, the school was a charity foundation. It helped poor young girls.
The building was designed by the local architect Jerónimo Arroyo. The building was inaugurated in 1911. Its façade has a ceramic frieze that was made by Daniel Zuloaga.
